About POSH Parenthood
What is POSH Parenthood?
POSH Parenthood is a rhythm-based parenting coaching and consulting practice serving families, early childhood professionals, and organizations from birth through kindergarten. Founded by Dr. Shanelle Bolton, EdD, MST, MLS, POSH exists to give caregivers the framework, support, and community to show up with intention — not just effort. Everything here is grounded in one belief: the caregiver is the curriculum.
What does POSH stand for?
POSH is a philosophy, not just a name. Each letter represents a commitment: Purposeful, Optimized, Supportive, and Holistic. These four principles shape every program, every conversation, and every resource we offer.
Who is POSH Parenthood for?
POSH is for caregivers in the earliest years of parenthood — from pregnancy and the newborn stage through kindergarten. It is also for early childhood professionals, educators, school administrators, and organizations who work alongside families and want to deepen their practice and impact. If you've ever felt overwhelmed, unsure, or like you're just surviving instead of thriving — whether at home or in your work — you're exactly who this was built for.
Who is Dr. Shanelle Bolton?
Dr. Bolton is an early childhood strategist, educator, solo mom by choice, and founder of POSH Parenthood. With more than 20 years of experience in schools, programs, and communities, she has spent her career watching caregivers pour everything they have into their children while running completely on empty. Her own journey to motherhood — including IVF, fibroid surgeries, and surviving a near-fatal postpartum hemorrhage — shaped her belief that parents deserve real, informed, human-centered support. She built POSH because that support didn't exist the way it should.
Does Dr. Bolton offer speaking engagements or workshops?
Yes. Dr. Bolton is available for keynote speaking, professional development workshops, and institutional consulting for schools, districts, and early childhood organizations. Topics are rooted in the R.H.Y.T.H.M.™ Model and designed to equip teams with practical, research-informed frameworks for supporting the families they serve. The R.H.Y.T.H.M.™ Model
What is the R.H.Y.T.H.M.™ Model?
The R.H.Y.T.H.M.™ Model is POSH Parenthood's proprietary methodology — six principles that run through every program, coaching session, and event we offer. It is not a checklist. It is a compass. The six principles are: Reflect, Harmonize, Yield, Teach, Hold, and Maintain.
What does each letter stand for?
  • R Reflect — Awareness comes first. Before anything changes, we slow down and look at the patterns already present in your home.
  • H Harmonize — We close the gap between what you expect and what is developmentally real, aligning expectations with where your child actually is.
  • Y Yield — We create space between the moment something happens and how you respond — the pause that makes regulation possible.
  • T Teach — As steadiness grows, we model skills intentionally — emotional literacy, gentle independence, and organization, cultivated gradually.
  • H Hold — We maintain boundaries with both warmth and steadiness — the kind of consistency that builds trust for your child and for you.
  • M Maintain — Rhythm is not a destination. It evolves as your child grows and your family shifts.
The Programs
What programs does POSH Parenthood offer?
POSH offers four 12-week coaching programs, each designed for a specific stage of early childhood: Newborn Nest (birth–3 months), Infant Foundations (4–12 months), Toddler Rhythms (1–3 years), and Kindergarten Compass (PreK–Kindergarten).
How do the programs work?
Each program is 12 weeks and delivered in a hybrid format. You'll receive asynchronous content you can move through on your own time, a weekly live session that is recorded so you never miss it, reflections and activities to apply what you're learning, and access to a private community through ClarityFlow for direct support and connection.
How is this different from reading a parenting book or watching YouTube videos?
Most parenting tools assume the caregiver is already calm enough to use them. POSH Parenthood is designed for real life — adaptive, rhythm-based, and built around you as a whole person, not just a set of techniques. The difference is community, personalization, and a framework that grows with your family.
Which program is right for my family?
The best starting point depends on your child's developmental stage and where you are right now. All age ranges are approximate — because every child and every caregiver develops at their own pace. Program placement is assessed prior to enrollment to make sure you're starting in the right place. With that in mind: Newborn Nest is for the fourth trimester — those raw, tender first three months. Infant Foundations supports families navigating the 4–12 month stretch as your baby grows and changes rapidly. Toddler Rhythms meets the energy of the 1–3 year stage. Kindergarten Compass supports families as children transition into more structured learning environments. If you're between stages or unsure, a 15-minute discovery call is the best place to start.
